ACAI
Acai is naturally low in sugar and is considered one of the best antioxidants in nature. Antioxidants are molecules that can slow damage caused by the oxidation of other substances in the body; there is some slight evidence that Acai can aid weight loss.

Hoodia (Hoodia Gordonii)
Hoodia was discovered in the Kalahari Desert and was chewed on by San Bushmen. They have been using hoodia for centuries to successfully combat hunger during long trips in the desert. Hoodia has been proven in multiple clinical studies to lessen appetite.

However, only Hoodia Gordonii has this effect, as it is the only Hoodia with the P57 molecule, which is what suppresses the appetite through the hypothalamus by releasing a compound similar to glucose but up to 100 times stronger, indicating to the hypothalamus that enough food has been consumed, triggering a decrease in appetite. If it does not say Hoodia Gordonii (P57) on the product, you may as well be ingesting blackboard chalk. In one efficacy study, people lost an average of 3.3% of their body weight, a median of 10 pounds, in 28 days, with most participants reporting their caloric intake dropped in half within a few days of starting Hoodia Gordonii, with no reports of being jittery or suffering insomnia.

Phytopharm, a U.K.-based company developing hoodia weight loss products with Unilever, the giant food and consumer products company, cites a 2001 study on its web site that it did, in which the plant extract caused a reduction in average daily calorie intake and in body fat within two weeks. Caloric intake dropped by about 1,000 a day after about two weeks, according to the study. (Phytopharm was originally developing P57 with Pfizer, but Pfizer returned its rights to Phytopharm in 2003.) The fact that the P57 molecule cannot be replicated cheaply has stopped all pharmaceutical production of a Hoodia Gordonii-based appetite suppressant; in other words, there just wasn’t a high enough profit for big pharma.

In 2001 Phytopharm completed a double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study in overweight, but otherwise healthy volunteers using the P57 extract from Hoodia gordonii. The participants were split into two groups, one group received the P57 and the other received a placebo. Both groups were told to continue their normal diet and exercise.

Here are the results when comparing the P57 group to the Placebo group:
  The P57 group had a statistically significant reduction in body fat
  The P57 group had a statistically significant reduction in caloric intake
  The P57 had no adverse side effects

On average the P57 group ate about 1,000 calories a day less than those in the control group. To put that in perspective, the average American man consumes about 2,600 calories a day; a woman about 1,900

Media hype has been huge on Hoodia for about eight years including 60 Minutes and The Today Show and there is also a growing body of journalist who can attest to the powers of hoodia.

  So how did it work? Stahl says she had no after effects - no funny taste in her mouth, no queasy
  stomach, and no racing heart. She also wasn't hungry all day, even when she would normally
  have a pang around mealtime. And, she also had no desire to eat or drink the entire day. "I'd
  have to say it did work," says Stahl.

Tom Mangold, a correspondent from the BBC News reporting the following after eating Hoodia from the Kalahari Desert:
  “At about 1800hrs I ate about half a banana size (piece of hoodia gordonii) - and later so did
  my cameraman. Soon after, we began the four hour drive back to Capetown. The plant is said to
  have a feel-good almost aphrodisiac quality, and I have to say, we felt good. But more
  significantly, we did not even think about food. Our brains really were telling us we were full.
  It was a magnificent deception.

  Dinner time came and went. We reached our hotel at about midnight and went to bed without
  food. And the next day, neither of us wanted nor ate breakfast. I ate lunch but without appetite
  and very little pleasure. Partial then full appetite returned slowly after 24 hours. There is a
  part of your brain, the hypothalamus. Within that mid-brain there are nerve cells that sense
  glucose sugar. When you eat, blood sugar goes up because of the food, these cells start firing
  and now you are full. What the Hoodia seems to contain is a molecule that is about 10,000
  times as active as glucose. It goes to the mid-brain and actually makes those nerve cells fire
  as if you were full. But you have not eaten. Nor do you want to."

The above statements are particularly rare when it comes from journalists referring to a weight-loss supplement. Almost never does a journalist have anything positive to say about weight-loss products. The normal tone of the media is to pick apart any type of product or supplement like this. Resveratrol (Trans Resv)
Very probably the answer to the “French Paradox”, which is a problem that has been nagging doctors and scientists for years, namely: “With the very rich diets the French eat that are so high in fat and all of the smoking they do and all of the wine that they drink, why is it that the French are so much more healthy than most of the people in the world, especially the Americans?” The answer seems to be that the wine they drink may have something to with the good health they enjoy. In all red wines there are tannins that contain Resveratrol, several varieties contain high concentrations of Resveratrol. In a landmark study by Dr. David Sinclair, a biochemist at Harvard Medical School, after studying over one thousand different compounds, found Resveratrol showed that it triggered a normally inactive set of genes called Sirtuins, which were discovered in a life extension diet study called Calorie Restriction, which showed that that when these genes were activated they trigger a survival mechanism that can help fight off age related diseases, and possibly extend life. In the most famous resveratrol study to date Dr. Sinclair fed two groups of mice a high fat diet (60% of calories from fat) and fed a third group a standard healthy diet. One of the groups being fed the high fat diet was also given 22 mg/kg of resveratrol. The mice given the high fat diet with no resveratrol suffered the typical repercussions normally associated with obesity. They were incredibly lethargic, started to develop diabetes, and died much earlier than the other two groups. Both the high fat plus resveratrol and standard diet groups had a 30% lower risk of death than the high fat group, and the resveratrol group greatly outperformed the high fat group in fitness tests. Dr. Sinclair started a company to manufacture a synthetic pharmaceutical Resveratrol to combat diabetes; in 2008 GlaxoSmithKline bought that company for over $700 million and continues the pursuit of this synthetic Resveratrol. Dr. David Sinclair did an interview on 60 Minutes. In that interview he said that he believed that we have turned the corner on extending the length of a healthy lifestyle into our 90s or 100s. He said that the goal was to have 90 year olds who were able to live the lifestyle that a healthy 60-year-old now lives. His most intriguing quote was “People will live active healthy lives, and die quietly in their sleep. That’s really the aim here with these medicines”. Many other national media outlets, including National Public Radio, have done programming about the positive benefits of Resveratrol, also. Those who take resveratrol supplements are looking turn back the clock of their life. They are hoping it can be used to prevent heart disease, cancer, and dementia. They also want to look younger and live a more active life for as long as they possibly can. Recent studies into this miraculous compound are beginning to show that all of this just might be possible. As each new study is conducted more researchers are becoming convinced of the power of this supplement. Resveratrol is a great anti-oxidant that works very well with other anti-oxidants. Though you will not necessarily see or feel all of the results, multiple studies show that Resveratrol absolutely makes you healthier.
Rhubarb
Rhubarb has shown to inhibit certain cancers, especially in the digestive system. An astringent, it helps to combat negative other digestive occurrences, including bleeding in the upper digestive system. It helps to stimulate intestinal contraction. High in fiber, it helps lower cholesterol, especially LDL. It is also an anti-oxidant; seems to keep the kidneys healthy and very possibly have a positive affect on the lungs. It has been found to contain anti-bacterial and anti-viral effects.
Fennel
Fennel is high in fiber and minerals. It may be an effective diuretic and a potential drug for treatment of hypertension. It also works well with the purgatives we have in this product to ease gastrointestinal buildup of gas. Fennel also contains anethole and polymers, which act as phytoestrogens, which seem to help in many health disorders. Evidence is accruing that phytoestrogens may have protective action against diverse health disorders, such as prostate, breast, bowel, and other cancers, cardiovascular disease, brain function disorders and osteoporosis.
Seabuckthorn
Seabuckthorn has a high amount of Vitamins C and E should help reduce inflammation and may reduce C-reactive Protein (CRP), which is a marker of inflammation and a risk for cardiovascular diseases. In our dosage, the benefits are innumerable including fighting cholesterol and lowering blood pressure. Sea buckthorn berries may reduce CRP, a marker of inflammation, and a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases. C-reactive protein (CRP) is produced in the liver and is a known marker for inflammation. Increased levels of CRP are a good predictor for the onset of both type-2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Petra Larmo from the University of Turku recruited 233 healthy subjects and randomly assigned them to receive sea buckthorn or placebo product for 90 days. The daily berry dose was 28 g (frozen sea buckthorn berry puree). The daily dose contained 16 mg flavonol glycosides (the glycosides of isorhamnetin were the most abundant), 15 mg vitamin C, and 1 mg alpha-tocopherol. Calculated as aglycones the total daily amount of flavonols was about 8 mg. At the end of the study significant differences were observed between the groups. Supplementation with sea buckthorn was associated with a reduction in CRP. ALOE VERA
Aloe Vera helps the absorption of anti-oxidants and can make them actually last longer in the body. Also assists in regulating blood sugar and help in diabetes. There are some suggestions, included in science, that Aloe Vera assists in relieving IBS and other digestive problems, but proof as of now is thin. It is common knowledge that there are huge benefits for the skin from the use of Aloe Vera.
Uva Ursi
Uva Ursi works as a diuretic and mild laxative, resulting in assisting with the flushing of toxins from the body. The Uva Ursi also is rather high in tannins, which are beneficial to health.
STEVIA
Stevia has been linked to leveling the blood sugar and helping with diabetes and hypoglycemia. Other traditional uses of Stevia are: lowers elevated blood pressure (hypertension), digestive aid that also reduces gas and stomach acidity, and for obesity. The herb acts as general tonic that increases energy levels and mental acuity and it inhibits bacterial growth.
